My 1st passion, placed on my heart by God is homeschooling. I first realized this when I was in 5th grade and my mom chose to school me from home. You could call her one of the pioneers of homeschooling in the 80's. She only schooled me for one year, but it was enough to plant the seed in my heart. I saw that she was there for me when I was facing one of the biggest fights in my life. "What could that be?" You might ask. Between third and fifth grades (going through 4th grade twice), I had faced some of the most difficult years of my learning. Learning? I don't remember much of what I learned then, just the rejection and hatred I faced in both public and private school. That's not to say that all teachers and schools are that way, it just happened to be my own experience. It was in 5th grade that I said to myself that I would be there for my children the way my Mom was there for me.

Now, I have 4 daughters, the oldest in high school, and they are so wonderful. I can't imagine not doing this for them.

My 2nd passion is web site design. It was 1999 that my husband suggested I learn HTML. I thought he was crazy. I was a stay-at-home mom that barely knew how to operate my email account. It looked too complicated to even try. Well, after more encouragement and a book loaned to me by my brother-in-law about HTML, I thought, "It couldn't hurt to look through the book".

Well, I started applying the code bit by bit and offered to build a friend's website for free just for the experience. Who would have thought? I had taught myself using the book, and took off!
